Description

A moist and delicious peanut butter and chocolate delight!!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CAKE:
  • 2 sticks Butter
  • ¼ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ cups Buttermilk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • FOR THE PEANUT BUTTER LAYER:
  • ¾ cups Peanut Butter
  • ¾ teaspoons Vegetable Oil
  • FOR THE ICING:
  • 1 stick 1/2 Cup Butter
  • ¼ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 pound Powdered Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

For the cake:

In a saucepan over low heat, combine butter, cocoa powder, water, buttermilk, and eggs. Heat until it starts to bubble.

Remove from heat and add sugar, flour, baking soda and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Pour into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Cool completely.

Make the peanut butter layer by mixing together the peanut butter and vegetable oil. Spread over cake. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

For the icing, heat icing ingredients together in a small saucepan until it bubbles. Spread on top of the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate.
