Line counter tops with wax paper and get all ingredients ready.
Combine sugar and cocoa (if making them “fudgie”) in a medium saucepan.
Add milk and stir until smooth.
Add butter and place over high heat. Stir until butter is melted and mixture comes to a full boil. Boil for 2 minutes.
Add peanut butter and remove from heat. Stir peanut butter until totally incorporated.
Add oats and stir until combined.
Drop by spoonful onto wax paper and allow to cool a few minutes before eating.
