Description

These are a favorite of my daughter growing up.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Peanut Butter
  • ½ cups Shortening
  • ⅓ cups Sugar
  • ⅓ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Eggs (large)
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-⅓ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 30 whole Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Unwrapped
  • ⅓ cups Sugar In A Small Bowl To Roll Cookies In

Preparation

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, cream peanut butter, shortening, 1/3 c. sugar, and brown sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour and baking soda; add gradually to creamed mixture, blending thoroughly. Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and roll in sugar.

2. Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven, push unwrapped peanut butter cup on top of each cookie, pressing down so the cookie cracks around the edges. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack. Cool completely.

Yield: 2 1/2 dozen.

I just took my first batch out of the oven…YUMM!! (one accidently broke, so I HAD to try it – can’t serve that to guests now, can we?) Anything that has peanut butter cups is a good thing. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
