Ingredients

  • FOR THE CUPCAKES:
  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • _____
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cups Peanut Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • _____
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • ½ cups Peanut Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3-½ Tablespoons Milk
  • 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Preparation

Mix the cake batter as directed on the box (you’ll typically need water, eggs, and oil), including preheating the oven to the designated temperature.

In a separate bowl, mix the ingredients for the filling. Blend until smooth.

Fill cupcake papers halfway with cake bater, then spoon a rounded teaspoon of peanut butter filling on top and fill the rest of the way with more cake batter. Bake cupcakes as directed on the box.

While cupcakes are baking, make the frosting by mixing together the peanut butter, softened butter, salt, vanilla extract, milk, powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder.

Once the cupcakes are done baking, let them cool and then frost.
