Peanut Butter Cake

Description
This is a peanut butter cake that my little brother loves and forces me to make for him every time he comes to visit.
Ingredients
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 cup Sour Milk (milk + 1 Tbsp Vinegar)
- ½ cups Crisco
- ½ cups Hot Water
- ½ cups Peanut Butter
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

- FOR THE ICING:
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Crisco
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
- ¼ cups Milk
Preparation
Blend the cake ingredients until smooth. Put in a baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
To make the icing, boil icing ingredients for 3 minutes and let cool for about 10 minutes. Then sift in 1-1/2 cups of powdered sugar and mix with a wisk.

This is the second recipe for a baked good that I’ve seen in the last couple of days on this site that doesn’t call for eggs. I find that so interesting, since I’ve always thought all baked goods contained eggs. I learn something new every day!
