This easy, delicious recipe has been passed down through generations. It’s plain and simple and pairs well with fresh fruit.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Grease a large (12 inch), well-seasoned cast iron skillet by pouring a little vegetable oil in the skillet and coat it using a paper towel.
Add batter to skillet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and set. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 to 20 minutes before turning the cake out.

My Grandmother (from Tennessee) made a cake like this… I was never sure of the measurements so my attempts to duplicate have not been the best. I’ll give it a try and let you know how it goes. Thanks for posting this!
