Description

These cookies will last about a day in your house. The secret ingredient is what makes these oatmeal cookies special!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1-¼ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 3 cups Oats
  • ¼ cups Pecans
  • ¼ cups Raisins
  • ¼ cups Secret Ingredient (Heath Toffee Bits)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F.

Cream together your butter, white and brown sugar. Incorporate eggs one at a time until smooth and creamy. Then add vanilla.

In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking soda. Slowly add the flour mixture to your wet ingredients, stirring after each addition. Once combined stir in oats. Then add your yummy ingredients (raisins, pecans and Heath Bits).

Line two cookie sheets with a Silpat or a piece of parchment paper. Spoon cookie batter onto lined cookie sheet (about 3 Tablespoons for each cookie) placing each cookie about 2 inches apart from each other.

Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for about 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.

Yields approximately 2 dozen cookies.
