Description

Crisp and butterscotch-y oatmeal cookie.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ½ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 3 cups Coarsely Ground Regular Oats

Preparation

Mix together the butter, sugars and eggs until fluffy. Mix in nutmeg, salt, baking soda.

On low, mix in flour and oatmeal.

Dough will be soft. Spread by spoonfuls and slightly flatten with fingers.

Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes. Cookies will spread and be golden in appearance.

Cool slightly before transferring to racks.

You really, really need to put a warning on this recipe that these cookies are undeniably addictive and if someone is willing to risk the addiction, it’s probably better for them to make a double-batch right off the bat.

I double checked the ingredients with the recipe and made it again, nothing is missing. They worked just fine…sorry about your trouble with them. perhaps check your oven temp, with a thermometer and see if its heating up properly?

These just did not turn out for me. I had to bake them almost twice as long as recommended. Is there an ingredient missing?

These cookies are dangerously addictive. I recommend making multiple batches. Making yourself believe that they are designed to be eaten for breakfast because they have oatmeal in them would be a good idea as well. It’s better to believe that then to feel guilty when you inevitably do eat them for breakfast.
