Description

An oatmeal variation of apple crisp, baked with fresh apples.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Apples (8 Peeled And Cored Apples, Roughly)
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Oatmeal
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Preparation

Peel and core apples (I am IN LOVE with our new apple corer). Preheat oven to 375º. Cut apple slices in half.

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and oatmeal. Work the butter in with a dough blender or fork until you have a firm, yummy crumb topping. Place apples in a baking dish (any will do, just be sure it is deep enough to contain a good layer of apples and crumb). Sprinkle cinnamon on top and pour crumb over the apples. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until browned and crispy on top. Apples should be sizzling a little. Enjoy!

This was okay, not the best I’ve tried. The topping was too much (in quantity) and too dry, for me anyway.
