Description

Assemble in 5 minutes, bake in under 15. Perfect for any time you need a sweet pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Sheet Puff Pastry, Thawed For 30 Minutes Or In Fridge Overnight
  • Flour, For The Pastry
  • 1 whole Banana, Sliced Into Rounds
  • ½ cups Nutella Or Other Hazelnut Spread
  • Cinnamon And Sugar, For Sprinkling

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400ºF.

Separate the puff pastry into 3 even panels using the folds from when the pastry was packaged. Using your fingers, stretch each pastry panel until it is 1 inch longer and 2 inches wider than it started, enough so that 2 banana slices can fit next to each other on the short side of the pastry with some room left over.

Cut the pastry panels into 2 long even strips, then make cuts crosswise to form small squares. Each square should be slightly larger than a banana slice. Use flour on your hands, pastry, and cutting board to prevent sticking.

Set a slice of banana on half the pastry squares, and put 1/2 teaspoon Nutella on the other squares.

Lay a square with Nutella over a square with a banana slice, then press the edges of the pastry (which now looks like a ravioli) together using your fingers or a fork.

Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray, then move pastries to the baking sheet. Spray the tops of the pastries, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. (Note: You could stop here and leave the pastries on the counter for up to 4 hours under a damp cloth until you’re ready to bake them.)

Bake the pastries for 10-12 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden.

Eat 17 of these by yourself.

Repeat.
