Nutella, chocolate, caramel, hazelnuts…this is a recipe for success. I made these last night and everyone LOVED them (myself included). I may try to double this recipe and bake in a 9×13 pan to make more next time (although I’d have to take them somewhere or I’d be tempted to eat the whole pan)! YUM!

Can I just say, YUM!!! These were relatively easy to prepare and incredibly delicious. Probably my only complaint was that it was hard to cut them and keep them looking nice because the caramel was so sticky. Like the last reviewer, next time I would double the recipe because it does not make very many (but then get them out of my house as quickly as possible, because I too would eat the whole pan!!!).

I doubled the recipe and baked them in a 9×13 pan. These are amazing! Not only is the recipe as a whole delicious, but I think this may be the perfect elusive brownie recipe. They’re very rich, but the hazelnut flavor helps cut down the sweetness. I highly recommend this awesome, easy recipe!

Taste was sinful. I was really dissappointed, though, in how little this made. Aside from the fact that I have an italian husband who LOVES dessert, this just wasn’t enough for the rest of my family. Also, the brownie’s turned out extremely flat…. paper thin layers over caramel. So… four mitts for extraordinary taste – just wish mine turned out like the picture. :O)
Thanks so much for the treat!

I agree that these were very thin and they did not serve up very pretty because they were impossible to get off of the parchment paper. The flavor was really good, but I didn’t feel like I could taste much besides Nutella, not that that is a bad thing.

These got a 5 mitt review from my husband’s office. They were pretty easy to make, and I sent my husband with the nutella and nuts to finish it when he got there and they could have warm nutella.

I doubled this recipe because the reviews recommended it. I omitted the caramel sauce because I didn’t have any on hand, and left out the hazelnuts because I don’t like nuts in brownies.
I really like the brownie- I find it is hard to find a good brownie recipe that isn’t a box mix- but I wasn’t terribly fond of the nutella on top. Would have preferred it without. But I will be keeping the brownie recipe for future reference!

the caramel sunk right to the bottom and made them difficult to get out of the pan, but they were delicious!

These are tasty but I did have to adapt it to get them to work at my altitude.

I love nutella, so naturally making this recipe was a must. However, as written the recipe was much harder than it needed to be. I put a layer of melted nutella and caramel in the middle, nixed the parchment all together and buttered an 8×8 nonstick pan instead. Next time i would DEFINITELY double the recipe–there just isn’t enough batter (barely enough with the 8×8 pan even after fending off the bowl lickers.) Drizzled the brownies with the melted nutella and put them in the fridge after they cooled to let the caramel set. I would recommend getting creative and combining this recipe with ree’s knock you naked brownies–simply subbing the chocolate chips with melted nutella.

Hey there! I email myself great recipes and I’m having a big dinner at my house Thursday night and want to make these! Have you ever made them the night before and reheated them? I have a lot I’m trying to make that day and wondered if I could do these ahead. Let me know the best way to reheat and serve!!
