Description

This is a very easy basic custard pie which can be altered as you wish. I often add flaked coconut. The crust makes itself while the pie bakes.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Flour
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • ¼ cups Butter, Melted
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • 1-½ cup Flaked Coconut (optional)

Preparation

Combine all ingredients (except coconut) in the blender for 10 seconds. Stir in coconut. Pour into a buttered deep dish pie plate .

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool and then refrigerate.

Hi natalie3, so glad you enjoyed this custard pie. It really is easy. My sister’s kids started making this at about 10, they liked being able to do it “all by themselves”, well almost anyway.

WOW! This is kinda freaky! A friend from church made this scrumptious pie over Christmas, and just last night I e-mailed her, begging her for that recipe (for about the 10th time). And this morning…here it is! I’ll be buying the ingredients on my lunch hour and making this tonight!
