Description

These are completely amazing and simple no bake butterscotch honey cereal bars that come together quickly! Perfect for summer since the oven isn’t needed.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Butterscotch Chips
  • 1 cup Almond Butter
  • ½ cups Honey
  • ¼ cups Coconut Oil
  • 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios

Preparation

Combine butterscotch chips, almond butter, honey and coconut oil in a large, heat proof bowl. Get a small pot filled halfway with water on the stove and bring it to a gentle boil. Set the bowl over the pot and melt it all together while you stir it constantly with a heatproof spatula or spoon.

When it is completely smooth and melted, take it off the heat and stir the Cheerios in. Pour the mixture into an 8 x 8 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray and make sure it is even. Put it in the refrigerator for an hour to set completely, then cut it into 16 squares. Serve and enjoy!

Peanut butter for sure! Not sure about the oil, I’ve never tested it with anything but coconut oil. Not sure what else you could use. Experiment and let me know!

Can you use peanut butter instead of almond butter and anything to besides coconut oil?
