Description

A completely fool-proof pie crust easy enough for kids to make with you. And get this: you don’t roll it out—you just pat it into the pan!

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ cup Unbleached All-purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 8 Tablespoons Unslated Butter, At Room Temperature
  • 2 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, At Room Temperature

Preparation

In a food processor, process all ingredients until it begins to come together. Dump onto a floured board and pat out into two flat discs, about 1/2 inch thick.

Place in a pie pan and pat out to fit pan.

Bake as directed for your pie.

I almost didn’t make my pie because I seriously considered eating this dough by itself. This was so delicious and easy to make, even when I goofed up the directions! This tastes like an old family pie crust recipe I had as a child and never could replicate. Thanks so much for posting!
