I made this last night and it was divine and unexpected. The final result is a bit of a lava cake/baked fudge consistency, with a done outer “shell” and a gooey, runny interior. I mixed instant coffee crystals with one cup of water for the coffee, and I made it quite strong…I think this helped the richness. I’ll make this again and again. Loved it!

I made this tonight and my ultimate taste testers, my teenagers, loved it. In any recipe calling for coffee, I make Medaglia D”Oro instant espresso (including PW’s Mocha Icing) for a full bodied mocha flavor. I will double this recipe going forward because I am usually feeding several teenagers.

It was very good when I served it warm. The next day it really wasn’t that great It was very easy to make. I might try it again when I have more people over to eat it.

This was very yummy. Everyone loved it and went back for seconds. This was the first lava type cake I have ever had or made and it turned out wonderful. We will definitely make this one again.

This was delicious. I only had semi-sweet chocolate and we served it w/ vanilla ice cream. The leftovers, heated in the microwave are just as delicious! This will be my go to dessert for when guests come over…or whenever I want ooey gooey chocolate.

Made this tonight for my family while we were swimming and the entire 8×8 pan was devoured in minutes. As my dad said, “I’ll put it this way, if someone decides they don’t like it, I’ll eat theirs.” Super yummy. Love the fudge it creates and the crusty cake on the edge is a perfect combo. Must have vanilla ice cream though!

Hi Larry, I made this and it was soooo good. It was delicious. I did a little post about it on my blog crediting and linking to your recipe page. Hope that’s okay. Have a look if you get a moment:

This looks amazing! I’m making it tonight for my in-laws…tough crowd. I’ve got dark chocolate (60%), will that change the flavor too much?

I used a chokecherry flavored coffee and the end result had a delicious berry hint. It was amazing… my guests and I ate it right out of the pan. We couldn’t be bothered to stop eating it long enough to cut pieces!

So yummy! Made it for company, and we all agreed that 8 servings was unrealistic…lol. The four of us made it through easily.
Making it again tonight, but just for us this time.

Just sooooooo yummy! ! I double the recipe (9×13 pan) and it is just the easiest, chocolatiest, yumminess I’ve had in ages.
Making it today for our July 4 (ok, 3rd) cookout! I will be the most popular for sure!!

I made this last night and it was wonderful! Prep time was quick, almost took more time to assemble and find ingredients than to put together. Served it with whipped topping and we all loved it

This one looks mouthwatering. I’ve tested the recipe and failed badly. When you say 350 degrees you mean fahrenheit? If not I don’t think why mine got burned in 15 minutes. Ideas??
