Description

Such a sweet treat to share with loved ones—that is, if there is any left after your share!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • ½ cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ½ cups Sugar Plus 3 Tablespoons For Rolling Cookies
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Large Egg
  • 1 whole Large Egg Yolk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 bag (10 Oz. Bag) Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Hearts, Or One Heart For Each Cookie

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl cream together butter, peanut butter, 1/2 cup sugar and brown sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well combined. Gently stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Form dough into 2-inch balls and roll in the remaining 3 tablespoons sugar. Place on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 6 minutes.

While cookies are baking, unwrap 20 chocolate hearts. Remove cookies from the oven and immediately press one heart into the center of the cookie. Bake for exactly one more minute. (The heart will still keep its shape.) Let them cool completely before serving.

I made these cookies the other day for my family and they didn’t last 2 days! Very good and they will certainly be a new Valentine favorite, thanks for the recipe!
