Description

Super quick and easy cobbler that is fabulous serverd warm over vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Granny Smith Apples
  • 2 cans (8 Oz. Size) Crescent Rolls
  • 2 sticks Butter
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 1-½ cup Mountain Dew
  • Cinnamon

Preparation

Peel apples and slice each into 8 sections. Wrap each apple slice in a crescent roll and place in the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 pan. Melt butter and combine with sugar. Pour over the crescent rolls. Pour Mountain Dew over the butter, sugar and crescent rolls. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

No – not the “exact” same recipe as Ree’s. Hers has vanilla flavoring in it. There are several of these recipes posted here but this one caught my eye because of the Mountain Dew. I think I’ll try them all cause this sure sounds good.

This is truly one of the best things I have ever had in my mouth! I made it as recipe calls the first time. The next time I doubled the apples and crescent rolls but used the same on the butter, sugar and soda. It worked great.
