Description

Way yummy cookie that is great for any girls’ get together!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter, Softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ¾ cups Cornstarch
  • ⅓ cups Plus 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar, Sifted
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • _____
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 3 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar

Preparation

Cookie dough:

Cream butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. Sift flour and corn starch and add. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Remove to a wire rack and allow to cool.

Cream cheese frosting:

Cream cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar together and frost the cooled cookies.

Amazing! I had family over this weekend and made these cookies. Everyone loooovvved them! I am now in charge of bringing them on the family vacation! Great recipe!

At the time I tasted them and commented, I hadn’t frosted them yet. I keep fresh lemons all the time, so I squeezed the juice of 2 lemon wedges into the frosting and oh wow!

Thanks for the positive feedback….this is one of my go to recipes that is always a big hit. I have made the frosting with lemon extract added and it is wonderful!

I made these cookies this morning and there is just one word for them…melt in your mouth scrumptiousness!
I plan on making this cookie a lot and maybe adding lemon or orange zest to the batter or frosting.
But I made one mistake with this recipe…I didn’t double it!

I made these cookies and there are amazing. I did add two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and the zest of one lemon to the dough and they are soooo good! I didnt do the frosting at all..I thought the cookies were tasty enough without!
