Delicious chocolate mousse recipe “borrowed” from my mom’s kitchen. Rich and chocolatey, and quite yummy.
Melt the chopped chocolate with the butter. Keep warm once fully melted (I stuck it in the microwave to insulate it).
Put the egg yolks into a bowl, add in confectioner’s sugar and vanilla, and stir. Set aside.
Whip the heavy cream to form soft peaks. Set aside.
Whip the egg whites to form soft peaks. Set aside.
Fold the yolk/sugar/vanilla mixture into the melted chocolate. Fold the heavy cream into that mixture. Lastly, fold in the egg whites.
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Enjoy!

Wow! This was so good! Very chocolatey and delicious! I have been craving chocolate mousse for awhile and this completely satisfied it!
