1. Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a 9×13 baking pan.
2. In a large bowl mix applesauce, bananas and sugar together.
3. Add vanilla, cocoa powder and cinnamon, mix well.
4. Mix in baking soda, salt and zucchini. Then stir in flour.
5. Fold in nuts (if using) and chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean (you don’t want them dry). Then remove the pan from the oven.
7. Let the brownies cool for 10-20 minutes, then slice into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar for a pretty plate.
