Description

Lemon cake plus lemon sauce equals lemon heaven!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ cups White Sugar
  • 1 whole Lemon, Zested
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Non-fat Milk
  • ½ cups White Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Lemon Juice (for 1/2 Cup You'll Need About 2 Lemons)
  • 1-½ cup Boiling Water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and lemon zest in a medium bowl. Set aside.

In another bowl, whisk together butter, vanilla, and milk. Add this into the dry ingredients and mix well. Spread batter into a 9×9 pan prepared with nonstick cooking spray.

Sprinkle chocolate chips over the batter, then sprinkle brown sugar on top of that.

Combine lemon juice with boiled water and pour over the top of the cake.

Bake for 30 minutes or until top of cake is golden brown.

This dessert loves to be served warm. Using a large spoon, serve a generous portion of cake. There will be sauce hidden underneath, waiting to be drizzled on top!

We need a bit of help. Please add an approximate bake time into the instructions. Also, if you’d add the pan prep (you said prepared pan but didn’t say how to prep it) and serving instructions (do you invert it onto a serving platter so the sauce drips over)?

When done, click ‘make recipe visible’ and ‘save’ and we’ll get this posted.
Thanks,
