Description

This recipe is very similar to the Magic Cookie Bars in that you assemble the layers with the ingredients, but with this one, you use white chocolate instead of semi-sweet and key lime juice is added to the condensed milk to give it that wonderful tart flavor.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • 1-½ cup Plain Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 12 ounces, fluid White Chocolate Morsels
  • 1-¼ cup Sweetened Flake Coconut
  • 1 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 14 ounces, fluid Sweetened, Condensed Milk
  • ½ cups Fresh Or Bottled Key Lime Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F or 325 degrees F if you’re using a glass baking dish.

Melt butter in a small bowl in the microwave on high for 30 seconds. Combine graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter and place the mixture into a 9″ x 12″ baking dish, patting the crumb mixture down evenly with your hands.

Layer the white chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts on top of the graham cracker mix.

In a small bowl mix the condensed milk, lime juice and water and immediately pour the mixture evenly over the other goodies in your baking dish.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is light brown. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

My tastebuds thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. I made this for Cinco de Mayo. They were a hit at our house.
