Using a stand or hand mixer, combine room temperature butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla and peanut butter. Once these are well-combined, add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until frosting is at the consistency you like.
This frosting is perfect for chocolate cupcakes or brownies.
