Description

This is an amazing chocolate cake that has fudge oozing out when you bite into it. Delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 6 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, Divided
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • ⅓ cups Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1-¾ cup Hot Water

Preparation

Grease a 9-inch pan.

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter.

Blend in chocolate chips and then spread the mixture into the pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together brown sugar and the remaining 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Sprinkle over mixture but do not mix it in!

Pour the hot water over the unbaked mixture. Do not stir! Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with the chocolate sauce from the bottom of the pan.

Serve with ice cream, if desired.

This was so easy to make and so delicious. Reminded me of the Molten Lava Cake at Chili’s. It will be great to make when company comes, a little bite goes a long way, serve it with vanilla bean ice cream.
