My daught-in-law served this for our early Christmas get together and is always a hit with everyone. Absolutly delish, so when everyone is gone, kick back, relax and have a piece with a cup of coffee and enjoy….yummy

I’ve held onto this recipe for months but never made it. Our church had a chili cook-off and cake bake-off last night, so I dusted off the recipe and made it. OMG! People RAVED about this–and I won second place in the contest!! Not a crumb left over. It was SO easy to make and really delicious. This may be our Christmas morning breakfast.

I’ve attended alot of church potlucks, women’s bible studies, quilting bees, etc. in my lifetime but have never seen or heard of this recipe before. From the reviews it sounds to die for. I am baking it for the first time ever as I type this review and my 15 year old son is already salivating just from the delicious aroma, hahaha. We can’t wait to taste it. Thanks for sharing

The flavor of the cake was great, but I felt like the glaze totally overwhelmed it – to the point were the bottom of the cake was wet from the amount of glaze that soaked in.

If I make it again, I’ll either cut the glaze in half or omit it all together. With the amount of sugar in the swirl, it certainly doesn’t need any help in the sweet department!
