This recipe was really nice: smooth and creamy…but I found it a little too sweet and not chocolatey enough for my taste. I originally used 1/2 cup Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips, but I also added 1.5 oz. of Bakers Unsweetened chocolate squares, roughly cut up, while it was still on the burner on low. That added the more chocolatey flavor and took away some of the sweetness. I used it in another awesome recipe from Tasty Kitchen – Banana Split Ice Cream Cake from Sweet Anna’s, in the Desserts section.

This was so simple and very good! My husband loves it too. We made hot chocolate with what was left in the pan by adding milk – yummy! Going to try it with butterscotch chips next…
