Description

An easy, healthy alternative to store bought graham crackers. Yum!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Unbleached All-purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Of Graham Flour
  • ¼ cups Sugar Plus Extra For Sprinkling On Top Before Baking
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ cups Cold Butter, Cut Into Pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Molasses
  • ¼ cups Water

Preparation

In the bowl of a food processor or stand mixer, combine flours, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Pulse a few times or mix until combined. Add the cold butter and pulse (or mix) until texture is dry and crumbly.

In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, molasses and water. Add this into the food processor or stand mixer and blend together until it forms a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for one hour.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Roll the dough out on a well floured surface. Roll the dough out to approximately 1/4″ (thicker for chewier, thinner for crisper, according to your preference) and cut with cookie cutters or cut into rectangles. Make fork marks in the dough.

Transfer to parchment paper lined baking sheets. Sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon/sugar before baking.

Bake for 11-15 minutes until golden and crisp.
