Description

Easy and yummy homemade fudge sauce. We have this in our fridge at all times. This makes a really good gift. Friends will be bringing empty jars back for refills.

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces, weight Semi-sweet Chocolate
  • 1-¾ cup Sugar
  • 2-½ cups Half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Preparation

Combine chocolate, sugar and half-and-half. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Pour fudge sauce into 7 hot and clean half-pint jars. Place metal lids on jars. Store sauce in the refrigerator.

This is a family favorite of ours! I cut the sugar down a bit and still tastes great.

This is super easy, I love to have it around for spooning over ice cream or serving with fresh fruit. I use ghirardelli double chocolate bittersweet chips and love the flavor. I too usually make a half batch at a time and it is super quick. Thanks for sharing!

This sauce was really easy to make. The recipe says a 40 minute cooking time, but it was more like 10 from start to finish. (I made a half batch, so a whole batch might take a little longer, but I can’t imagine it going more than 20 minutes.) Use really good tasting chocolate chips, because this sauce doesn’t really alter the flavor of the chocolate. I’m excited to actually try it on ice cream, but it tastes great straight out of the pan!
