Description

Great holiday gift idea.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ quart Freshly Popped Popcorn
  • 1 cup Pecan Halves
  • 1 cup Walnuts
  • ½ cups Butter
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • 1 cup Holiday M&Ms

Preparation

1. Toss together the popcorn, peans, and walnuts in a large lightly greased jellyroll pan (or line the pan with parchment paper).

2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in brown sugar and honey. Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and pour over popcorn, stirring until evenly coated.

3. Bake at 250F for 1 hour, stirring ever 15 minutes. Cool completely and break into pieces. Add M&Ms. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Oh boy, these are delicious. I haven’t found a way to keep some of the candy from settling on the bottom of the pan, but I’ll live with that. :) Easy to make (keep it to small batches! It gets unwieldy otherwise) and much tastier than the stuff in the box.
