Description

Even though St. Patty’s Day has passed, these brownies never should! Guinness brownies with a cream cheese Bailey’s infused swirl should make the table much more often than just March 17th.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BROWNIES:
  • 1 cup Guinness
  • 1 stick Butter
  • ¾ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1-⅓ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • _____
  • FOR THE SWIRL:
  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese (Room Temperature)
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Bailey's Irish Creme
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour

Preparation

Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Simmer beer and butter. Once butter has melted add cocoa and mix until smooth. Remove from heat. Set aside.

Whisk flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs and add them and the vanilla to the beer mixture. Then add the flour mixture to the wet mixture.
Pour into an 8×12 inch rectangular cake pan.

Swirl:
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, milk, Bailey’s, flour and sugar until smooth. Spoon mixture in horizontal lines over brownie batter. Use a knife and swirl mixture into batter.

Transfer pan to oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Let brownies completely cool before cutting into them. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
