Description

Not your typical chocolate chip cookie. A blend of a flaky sugar cookie and chocolate chip cookie, these quickly have become a favorite at my office!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Salted Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Cold Whole Milk
  • 4 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cream Of Tartar
  • 12 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

First cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, oil, egg and milk together. Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the rest of the batter. After the dough is well blended, add chocolate chips.

Bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes (they don’t brown like other cookies, so when you take them out, they will still be white). Let them finish cooking on the cookie sheet for about 10 more minutes. Remove from the cookie sheet and let cookies finish cooling on a cooling rack.
