Description

Almost completely dairy free (only butter) and gluten free, this crumble is a winner! So good, it’s addictive!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUMBLE:
  • ½ cups All-purpose Gluten Free Flour Or Almond Flour
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 dash Pumpkin Pie Spice (optional)
  • 1 stick Butter
  • ½ cups Mixed Nuts, Chopped
  • _____
  • FOR THE FRUIT MIXTURE:
  • 2 whole Apples, Peeled, Cored, Sliced
  • 1-½ cup Mixed Berries (blueberries And Raspberries)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ whole Lemon (or Orange), Zested
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F.

To prepare the crumble, mix together flour, brown sugar, salt, and spices for the crumble. Cut in butter. Add chopped nuts and set aside (you can use any nuts—I used even amounts of slivered almonds and chopped walnuts).

For the fruit mixture. mix prepared apples and berries, add the lemon juice to the apples. Then add in sugar, honey, vanilla, zest and cornstarch and toss to coat well.

In a small to medium round or square baking dish, evenly disperse fruit mixture and top with the crumble mixture.

Bake for 30-35 minutes until fruit is bubbly and fruit is cooked through.
