Description

Something my mom used to make for me when I came home from college. Served with ice cream on top, it’s pure love in a bowl!

Ingredients

  • FOR FILLING:
  • 5 cups Chopped Tart Apples
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tablespoon Softened Butter
  • ½ cups Water
  • _____
  • FOR THE BATTER:
  • ½ cups Flour
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 whole Egg, Slightly Beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons Softened Butter

Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 375.

Combine first 7 ingredients (apples through water). Put into an 8×8 glass baking dish that you have sprayed with Pam. The rest of the ingredients are for the batter. Mix them and drop by spoonfuls onto the apple filling.

Bake for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm. Top with ice cream if you like!
