I have never seen this recipe anywhere. Everyone I have served it to has asked for the recipe, and it is my son’s favorite dessert.
Using an electric mixer, beat together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add the melted chocolate and continue beating. Add the eggs and beat until fluffy. Beat in the extracts. Sprinkle half of the crumbs into each of 18 cupcake liners. Spoon in the chocolate mix, and top with remaining crumbs. Freeze until firm. Serve plain or top each with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.

I have seen this recipe before, altho it is called, “Frozen Frangos”. The recipe I have does not used any type of crumbs, however. I do think that it would be better with the crumbs! It is featured in an old Junior League Cookbook: “Be Our Guest” -The Jr. League of Milwaukee, Wis. and a compilation called: “The Midwestern Jr. League Cookbook”. If you ever come upon any Jr. League cookbooks in a flea market or auction etc they are awesome. The ones I have mentioned were published in the ’70s and to my knowledge are out of print. Good recipe!!
