Description

Rich, dark, minty chocolate brownies, in a sweet little Hershey’s Kiss topped bite-sized package.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Dutch-processed Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ⅔ cups Butter, Melted, Divided Use (1/3 Cup And 1/3 Cup)
  • ½ cups Boiling Water
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • 1-½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1-⅓ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 bag Hershey's Mint Truffle Kisses, 10 Ounce Bag, Unwrapped

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Line a 9×13″ glass baking dish with foil and generously grease the foil.

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cocoa and baking soda. Stir in 1/3 cup of the melted butter until smooth. Stir in the boiling water and stir until the mixture is smooth and thick.

Stir in the sugar and eggs as well as the remaining 1/3 cup melted butter. Set aside.

Place the chocolate chips in a small bowl and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the flour, tossing to coat.

Into the bowl of batter, stir in the remaining flour, extract and salt until just smooth. Stir in the flour-coated chocolate chips and spread the mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish.

Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the edges start to pull away from the pan. It’s always better to under-bake brownies than to over-bake them!

As soon as you take the brownies out of the oven, press the Hershey’s Kisses gently into the top. Cool completely and then cut into bite-sized squares!
