This delicious crisp is a great Fall treat. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with a homemade caramel sauce, this dessert tastes A-MAZING!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE APPLE CRISP:
  • 10 cups Cored And Peeled Apples, Sliced In Thin Rings
  • 1 cup White Raw, Organic Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour (we Use White Wheat For Health Purposes)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Old Fashion Oats
  • 2 cups White Wheat Flour (all Purpose Is Fine Too)
  • 2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Butter, Melted
  • _____
  • FOR THE CARAMEL SAUCE:
  • 2-½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 can Sweetened, Condensed Milk - 14-ounce Can
  • ½ cups Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ¾ cups Whole Milk

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F.

Place the sliced apple rings in a 9×13 baking dish.

Mix the white sugar, 1 Tablespoon flour, and ground cinnamon together, and sprinkle over apples. Sprinkle with a bit of water.

Combine oats, 2 cups of flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and melted butter. Crumble evenly over apple mixture.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.

While you wait for you crisp to bake, start on your easy homemade caramel sauce…

Mix the sugar and condensed milk together in medium saucepan, and cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved completely. Set aside.

Melt the butter in another small saucepan, and stir in the vanilla and milk. Leave to simmer on low heat until mixture is smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.

Slowly stir the butter mixture into the sugar mixture and leave to stand 3 to 5 minutes until mixture becomes thick.

Drizzle over apple crisp and vanila ice cream. Enjoy!!

Pour caramel leftovers into a glass jar and store in refrigerator. Or grab a spoon and dig in!! It’s DIVINE! You’ll never buy another jar of caramel again!

Made this last weekend. It was so good even without the carmel sauce. The apples and sugar caramelized themselves. My husband said it was one of the best things I’ve ever made.
