Description

These cookies are perfect: chewy, soft, and full of tons of chocolate. You will never need another chocolate chip recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2-⅛ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups White Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2-½ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chunks Or Jumbo Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Heat oven to 375ºF.

Sift together flour, salt and baking soda in small bowl. Set aside.

In another large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until completely combined. Add eggs, one at a time, making sure they are thoroughly incorporated. Add vanilla and mix until combined.

Add flour mixture about 1/3 at a time, making sure it is completely mixed in before adding more. Once all the flour is mixed in, stir in chocolate chunks or chips.

Put cookie dough in fridge for 10–15 minutes. This allows the butter to get cold and will prevent cookies from flattening in oven.

Using your hands, grab some dough and roll into a ball, about the size of a melon scoop. Bake for 7–8 minutes, making sure not to overcook them. Cookies are done when slightly brown around edges, but still gooey in middle. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing them from the cookie sheet. Once removed, let cool on wire rack or plate.

Repeat until all cookies are baked. I keep my dough in the fridge in between batches to keep dough cold. Enjoy!
