Description

Rice Krispie treats are given a seasonal twist with browned butter and fall spices.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Butter
  • 1 bag 10-ounce Bag Marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 box (12 Ounce Box) Rice Krispies Ceral

Preparation

Brown butter over medium heat in a large skillet with high sides. When it starts to turn brown, add marshmallows, and stir (using a wooden spoon) to melt the marshmallows. Continue until smooth. Add spices and stir to incorporate evenly. Add cereal and stir to combine. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×13″ baking pan. Let cool before cutting to serve.

What a great idea – all the warm spices of Fall that I love meets the classic RK bar! I tweaked this just a bit – shook in about 1/3 bag of butterscotch chips right before pressing them into the pan and then sprinkled the whole thing with some sea salt. OUTRAGEOUSLY GOOD!!!!
