Preheat oven to 350 F. Place stick of butter in a 9×13 baking pan and put pan in oven until butter is melted.
In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and allspice.
Add milk to dry ingredients; mix until combined.
In another bowl, mix fruit and sugar together.
Remove pan from oven and pour batter into the pan. Scatter fruit mix on top of batter; do not mix.
Bake for 1 hour till bubbly and golden on top.
