Every year we try to pick wild dewberries to freeze for use throughout the year in recipes like this fantastic pie. If you don’t have dewberries, just substitute blackberries!
Place berries in an unbaked pie shell. Combine eggs, sugar, flour and evaporated milk. Mix well and pour over berries. Combine topping ingredients and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over custard. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until the top of the pie is well browned.
Blackberries or fresh strawberries can also be used.

Sensational!!! The whole family adored me for this pie. One thing I will say: I did use a deep dish pie crust, and still experienced a little spill over. Contemplating other berry versions of this recipe. Thanks for sharing!
