Description

I can’t decide which version of the recipe I like better. I think it’s actually just a mood thing. Peanut butter is, well, peanut butter. Perfect. Nutella is heavenly. A bit more chocolate, a bit deeper, a bit less sweet … Mmm. Both amazing!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • ½ cups Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • ½ cups Milk
  • ½ cups Nutella
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Sweetened, Flaked Coconut

Preparation

In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, melt together the butter, cocoa, sugar, salt and milk. Stir and cook until the mixture comes to a boil and then let boil for 1 minute.

Remove from the heat and stir in the Nutella and vanilla until smooth, and then stir in the oats and coconut.

Scoop onto parchment-lined baking sheets.

Place in the fridge to set for a few hours and then transfer to a Tupperware container if you are not going to serve them right away. Store in the fridge!

Truly for Chocolate Lovers! (not those sugared-up, milked-down, milk-chocolate wanna-be’s!)
*We didn’t have coconut, so I just used an extra cup of oatmeal instead to replace the volume. I don’t like hazelnut, so I used regular PB (PB & Co’s Dark Chocolate PB would probably be great too!). When I saw the author used Dutched Cocoa, I got really excited! Ever since a simple dry taste test – I’ve stopped buying regular cocoa. (Yes, I know the pH is different and can mess up some recipes – but I never try anything that fancy.) This was a great and EASY dark chocolate version of no-bake cookies! Cooled super fast too!

These are fantastic and incredibly easy! My 8 & 10 year old daughters are allowed to make this together – and it comes out beautifully each time. Thanks for the great recipe.
