Description

Different than most peanut butter balls—it’s the crunch factor. I dare you to eat just one! Great for parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 7 ounces, weight Marshmallow Creme
  • 1-½ cup Crisp Rice Cereal
  • 1-½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 4 teaspoons Crisco Shortening

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter and marshmallow creme; add in the cereal and stir until cereal is well coated.

In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips with the shortening. Microwave, uncovered, for 1 to 2 minutes or until chips are melted. Stir until smooth.

Using your hands, form the cereal mixture into 1-inch balls. Dip into the chocolate so the ball is coated all the way around. This will be messy, but just have fun.

Place balls on waxed paper on a baking sheet. Refrigerate until set.

Prep time is a guesstimate. It depends on how fast you make the balls.

These looked so yummy that in my haste to make them today I misread the recipe. Instead of melting the chocolate and coating the rolled candy balls I added the chocolate chips to the mix. I also thought I’d save some time and just press them into an 8×8 pan lined with wax paper (sprayed with nonstick stuff) and let them set up that way. It worked pretty good! They are a little sticky but not too. I cut them into SMALL pieces. Very rich and the taste is great!
