I have made this twice … quick and simple to make. I make it in an 8 inch round cake pan and it needs a couple of extra minutes to bake through the center. The nutmeg and cinammon come through nicely.

I made this for a few friends and we all LOVED it! It is extremely moist, very easy to make (I even used the buttermilk substitute). I will definitely be passing this one along and making it again!

Repost of my “comment” – I made this for my Sunday school class yesterday, and it is FABULOUS! How anyone can give it less than 5 mitts is beyond me. Wonderful flavor, SO moist….I had to bring the leftovers to work because I couldn’t stop eating it!
THANK YOU for posting this. It will definitely be a repeat dessert.

Made this as a late night card playing snack as our guests aren’t chocolate lovers. It was very flavorful and they took some home for breakfast the next morning even! I may have over baked as I didn’t get the fluffy moist cake I was hoping for. It was great warmed up in the microwave the next morning with just a little yogurt butter on it to melt. Worth repeating!

Made this this afternoon…very yummy. I even substituted half of the oil with applesauce. It is a very addicting little cake – can’t walk past it without eating some. Plan to add this to my recipe collection. Thanks for sharing.

This….was Beyond amazing! It tasted like autumn and happiness! I added vanilla to the icing and my roommates obviously approved by eating more than half of it! Thanks for making me look like a good baker!

I made this to take to work tomorrow but of course had to have a tiny taste …. sure hope I have some to take to work tomorrow!!! I baked it in a 9″ round and had to bake it about 10 minutes longer to get the center cooked …. its still plenty moist

All I added was a splash of orange juice into the icing mixture (made a little more icing)… the orange covers the chalky taste of the pwd sugar.. yum !

I added frozen blueberries to this cake and found that after it had been in the fridge overnight it tasted a million times better! Yum!
