Description

Uber chocolatey, rich, gooey, with a hint of crunchy from Cocoa Krispies.

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ¾ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ½ cups (1 Stick) Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • 1-½ teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ cups Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Cocoa Krispies Cereal

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray an 8×8 baking pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Add the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until thoroughly combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and cereal until incorporated fully. (The batter will be thick.)

Spread into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean. Cool completely before cutting.

I’ve never had Cocoa Krispies and figured the only difference between them and Rice Krispies is the color so I substituted regular Rice Krispies. Well apparently that assumption is wrong – the Rice Krispies deflated and became an odd chewy bit. I won’t try that again. BUT I will definitely make these brownies over and over again. A tiny square satisfied this chocoholic. So rich and oh so decadent. And they go together very quickly. Give these a try!
