Description

Simple and delicious, my favorite right out of the oven!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • ½ cups Peanut Butter
  • 1-¼ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • ½ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • ½ cups Sugar (for Rolling)

Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl beat butter and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add 1/2 cup flour, the sugars, egg, baking soda, baking powder, and vanilla. Beat till thoroughly combined. Beat in remaining flour. If necessary, cover and chill dough till easy to handle.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in additional sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten by crisscrossing with the tines of a fork.
Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or till bottoms are lightly browned. Cool cookies on a wire rack. Makes about 36.

Turned out great! Followed the recipe exactly, but next time might throw in some peanut butter or chocolate chips just for fun.
