Description

With the perfect spices to warm you up as you head into the autumn weather, this embellished cream cheese frosting is great on anything from pumpkin bread to gingersnaps! Add a simple, elegant touch to your winter desserts to impress guests. And just try not eating it with a spoon, I dare you.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 package 8 Ounces Cream Cheese
  • 3 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 dash Nutmeg
  • 2 dashes Ground Ginger

Preparation

Cream butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. Add confectioner’s sugar one cup at a time, beating between each addition. Slowly mix in milk and spices, beating well to incorporate all flavors.

This creates an extremely creamy frosting. If a stiffer consistency is desired, omit the milk.

Will frost 24 cupcakes or one 9×13 cake.

I just love spice cake and gingerbread. This could be the only thing to make them any better. Thanks for the recipe.

While very tasty, the recipe only makes enough frosting to pipe on 18 cupcakes.
