Description

Chocolate Tort.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (14.4 Oz. Size) Chocolate Graham Crackers
  • 1 stick Butter
  • ¾ cups Skim Milk
  • ¾ cups Half-and-half
  • ½ cups Honey
  • 18 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Take chocolate graham crackers and crush in a mixer. Once well crushed, mix in butter in tabs. Take graham cracker mixture and pack tightly into a springform pan (I used my hands first then I covered the crust with wax paper and used a ramekin to pack even more tightly).

For the chocolate, heat the skim milk and half-and-half until scalding (the edges bubbling). Next, mix in honey.

Pour the heated milk mixture over the semi-sweet chocolate chips and mix until the chips are fully melted. Pour on top of the graham cracker crust and put in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Cut as big of a piece as you dare and eat.

This was really good and easy to make! One caveat – don’t use two full, 14.4 oz packages of graham crackers. I may have just misunderstood the recipe the way it was written (maybe you meant two of the smaller packages of graham crackers inside one 14.4 oz box?) Overall though, I was impressed by how well the torte set up and the chocolate flavor. Thanks for sharing!
