(Or how I kept adding to ButterYum’s recipe.)

Ingredients

  • 1-⅓ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 4 Tablespoons Melted Butter
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 4 whole Bananas, Over-ripe And Mashed
  • ¼ cups Nutella
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa, Heaping
  • 2 cups Cake Flour, Heaping
  • ½ teaspoons Table Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ cups Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Grease a 13×9″ pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine everything except chocolate chips. With a hand mixer, beat on low speed, until combined. Scrape down the sides with a spatula. Increase mixer to medium speed and blend for about 2 minutes until mixture is smooth.

Pour into prepped pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and bake for 30 minutes.

Note: The nutella flavor here is faint. You might consider adding some chopped hazelnuts with the chocolate chips for a little extra punch and crunch.

This cake was delicious! Very easy to toss together, yet tasted like it was much more difficult. Big hit at my house.

Awesome cake, everyone loved it. I made this for my sister’s birthday this weekend, her and a few others said this is the best cake they have ever had!

I made a cream cheese and nutella frosting and put sliced bananas and strawberries on top.
