Description

I’m not a fan of chocolate cake, but this one is AMAZING!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (18.25 Oz. Box) Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Can) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 jar (8 Oz. Jar) Caramel Ice Cream Topping
  • 1 carton (16 Oz. Container) Cool Whip
  • 2 bars (1.55 Oz. Bar) Hershey's (or Other Chocolate) Candy Bars

Preparation

Bake cake according to directions (you’ll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as directed in the mix package) and allow to cool 5 minutes. Using a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake. Pour the condensed milk over the top of the cake, followed by the caramel topping. Let cool completely, then spread Cool Whip over the cake. Put Hershey bars in a resealable bag and using a mallet or rolling pin, break into small pieces. Sprinkle candy over the Cool Whip and refrigerate at least two hours before serving.

If you have leftovers (and it’s very possible you won’t), store covered in fridge.

I’m sure another flavored cake (white or yellow) would taste just as sinful as the chocolate if you’re so inclined.

I have been making this cake for awhile now and so far the favorite candy is crushed Butterfingers. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love this moist, chocolaty, indulgent yet simple to make cake.
