Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • ⅛ teaspoons (just A Pinch) Salt
  • ⅓ cups Cocoa Powder
  • ½ cups Maple Syrup Or Sweetener Of Choice
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 2 whole Egg Yolks, Lightly Beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

This looks divine! (And I must’ve had my head in the sand for 40 odd years, never considering one could make pudding from scratch!!!) Going in my recipe box to make as a treat over the holidays!

I adapted this to make it low carb, used cream instead of milk, no cornstarch and Splenda for sweetener. Fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing.

I made this recipe with honey as the sweetener. The flavor was off. Next time I will try maple syrup as my sweetener like the recipe says.

I lightened this up with reduced fat milk and egg substitute, and it STILL tasted good. I only eat it warm – that’s when it’s best!
